Ingredients
Burgers
- 500 g turkey mince
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp almond flour
- 1 garlic clove, finely minced
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp Amino sauce
- 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter, for cooking To serve
01
Preparation
Add the turkey mince, egg, Parmesan, almond flour, garlic, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and parsley to a bowl.
Mix gently: Combine until just mixed. Don't overwork the meat or the burgers can become tough.
Shape: Divide into 4 portions and form into patties about 1.5–2 cm thick. Make a small indentation in the centre of each patty with your thumb — this helps them cook evenly without puffing up.
Chill: If you have time, refrigerate the patties for 15–20 minutes. This helps them hold together.
02
Grill your Burgers
Heat the olive oil or butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the burgers for about 5–6 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Turkey should reach 74°C / 165 F internally.
Add cheese: During the final minute, place a slice of cheese on each burger and cover the pan until melted.
03
Assemble
Assemble your burgers with your favorite fillings or by placing a lettuce leaf and add avocado, pickles, tomato, onion, beetroot and your favourite keto sauce on top.
04
Final touches and serving
Consider adding your favorite herbs to the burger or serving with a side of Air fryer Zucchini chips.
